Community Involvement
At Red Sail Sports, we believe it is important to play
an active roll in the community. We stay involved with Department of Tourism
promotions, we participate
with conservation efforts, and we sponsor dive and sporting events.
Project Aware - Aruba Cleanup
On April 21, 2007, over 170 volunteers participated in a beach clean-up
along the rugged North Coast by the California Lighthouse, not far from
Aruba’s most famous shipwreck, the Antilla.
At the dunes along the
shoreline, the volunteer crew collected bins of garbage. This increased
awareness about the importance of having a clean environment and helped
beautify Aruba for the island's residents and guests.
Red Sail Sports
orchestrated this event for the second straight year in conjunction with
PADI's Project
AWARE Foundation and the Center for Marine Conservation's International
Cleanup Day.
